The treatment charge is added to the initial callout fee. Your complete price is confirmed after the hedge has been measured and before treatment proceeds.

Our Treatment Programme
Box tree caterpillar control normally works best as an ongoing programme rather than a single treatment. We recommend each visit according to the condition of your plants and the level of caterpillar activity.

Initial visit
The first visit includes professional assessment, accurate measurement, plant moisture analysis, removal of accessible caterpillars, larvae and webbing, and the first XenGuard Box Tree Caterpillar Treatment. We provide a written report afterwards.
The one-time £25 call-out fee applies to this initial visit only. - 02
Recommended 10-day follow-up
We normally recommend returning approximately 10 days after the initial treatment to reassess caterpillar activity and apply a further treatment where appropriate.
There is no second £25 call-out fee. Caterpillar treatment remains £1.50 per m². - 03
Ongoing monthly visits
After the 10-day follow-up, we normally recommend a visit approximately once per month during the active treatment period. These visits monitor renewed activity, allow treatment where appropriate and help protect new growth from repeat damage.
The £25 call-out fee does not repeat and treatment remains £1.50 per m². This is a recommended programme, not a mandatory subscription or contract.
Our aim is to restore and protect the health of your box plants, not to keep you paying for treatments indefinitely. Visits can be reduced or paused once the plants are recovering well and caterpillar activity has dropped.

Prepare the hedging by removing accessible caterpillar webbing, larvae and any other visible signs of caterpillar activity or life.

Treat the agreed box hedging
Treat all available box hedging included in the agreed visit.

Provide relevant aftercare guidance
Explain appropriate monitoring and aftercare for your hedging.
